Video length on Google maps

I’m starting to add short video clips to my Google map reviews. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is the shortest/longest length for videos? I’ve seen some 3 second videos which I think are too short. On average I try keeping mine between 10-15 seconds. IMO they should be short enough to show the place but not too long.

Any ideas? What works for you? Any guidelines?

@AlexPssn 30 seconds is maximum length. I don’t think there is a minimum but I think it should be at least 15 seconds. It has to be long enough for viewers to understand the video.

I always try to capture some movement: flags, animals, water flowing, business interactions,… something.

It’s kind of hard to capture a story in 30 seconds, but it CAN happen… and besides you can always do more than one. Plus I’m trying to up my game and get more creative… Here’s a recent one: It was basically a shot of one of my father’s rock walls (he’s been making them for like 20 years) and how they survive the Maine Spring flooding. But I caught geese flying at the end (they were trying to escape eagles)… Kinda of a story.

Hello, @AlexPssn I guess for a video to qualify should be at least 20 seconds for a viewer to understand the message, and its good to focus on the object, and consider clear images in motion.

I tried today a 60 sec video. It worked and showed. Perhaps the policy has changed :sunglasses:
