The well-celebrated legend of Baji Prabhu is intricately linked with an important rearguard battle enabling Shivaji’s escape from Panhala fort; he was the hero who sacrificed his life for his king. Baji Prabhu had mastered the art of using a weapon called “Dand Patta”.
Interesting information @bhatakuuu
Did you make a trek through the “Pavan Khind”, the place where Baji Prabhu fought to have a safe passage of the troop of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj?

By the way, I moved your post to Local Stories because you are not sharing a travel story.
This statue is situated at the entry of the Panhala fort and the vehicles are accessible from down to the top of the fort.
I actually did not trekked as vehicles can take you at the statue from down of the hill to the top. I hope this helps you.
