I’m a volunteer with the local Chamber of Commerce, and we’re trying to find new ways to encourage tourism and give more exposure to local businesses. I started as a Guide almost a year ago on another ID, and find this tool to be extremely effective. I’d like to connect with other LG’s in the area to see if we can collaborate. Anyone interested in a local meetup in the Nanaimo area (central to all of us)?
I think a local meet-up would be great! I don’t see a lot of local guides activity around here but we have so many people that are passionate about our communities. I’m sure if you hosted a meet-up and advertised it well that people would start to come out of the woodwork
