Valensole is a small town in France which is famous for their lavanda, it is the capitole of AOC lavanda production. Most of the highest quality lavanda fields are surrounding the town.
The lavanda festival takes place every year inside the village during summer time.
I usually buy several small bags to put in my clothing drawers to keep a nice and natural lavanda smell, it could last few years.
As it is very hot you can go to refresh yourself at the lake of Sainte croix not too far from there.
If you want to rent a boat you can find some there.
