Vaikom Mahadeva Temple, Vaikom

This temple is a famous Hindu temple where Shiva is worshipped in the form of Vaikathappan.

The construction of this temple is based on the traditional Kerala architecture.

Vaikom Mahadev Temple holds the status of a pilgrimage among the devotees. It is believed that by worshipping in this temple, the devotees get happiness and prosperity.

The Lord Shiva in the form of Vaikathappan which is a black stone linga of about six feet housed in the sanctum sanctorum.

Here there is no restriction everyone can visit except the dress code for both men and women.
