Hello, Local Guides. It’s hard to imagine a life without Google Maps. Google Maps is a convenient way of navigating to a destination, discovering local businesses, and exploring unfamiliar areas. Google Maps stands out thanks to its user-friendly interface and navigation features. However, the popular software is packed with few hidden features and Easter eggs beyond what you might expect. Maps for Android and iOS has changed a lot lately. The search giant has raised the bar by regularly updating Maps, adding new features to enhance user experience and make the app easier to use. In this virtual meet-up, we will learn how to use Maps effectively using these exciting hidden features. Requirements for this meet-up: Stable internet connection. Google Meet. Interest to learn new things. Earphone or Headphone (optional) Important Notes: This is not an online practical session, you can sit back and relax, enjoying the presentation. Joining link will be shared a day before the meet-up. Let’s have a proper introduction by joining atleast 10 minutes early. Please keep your microphone muted and kindly raise your queries via chat. We as Local Guides contribute actively using the latest version of Maps for best performance. However, over time we tend to forget about the silent improvements in the software with regards to new features and ease of access, continuing conservatively using the software. Thank you @AjitThite for your kind wishes. Yes, you got that right! This being my first ever meet-up, I take pride in supporting and assisting beginners to use maps efficiently. Though being basic, this is the important part that comes before the contribution part and should be mastered for the great usability of the software. Not just that, our Google homepage search tab in the Chrome browser is also capable of doing multiple interesting things we’ve never even imagined (stay tuned).
