California’s Big Sur is definitely one of the most incredible places I have ever been to. Of course I wouldn’t pass the opportunity to shoot some amazing shots with my DJI Phantom 4 pro. Using a drone gives you so much more flexibility on the angle you can shoot from. Big Sur being a mountainous region with the belligerent pacific ocean abounding from almost every direction, following safety procedures and having a spotter should be a priority around these rugged terrains.
Here are some of the pictures I acquired whiling flying with my drone.
The Big Sur cliffs and mountains are quite a site to contemplate.
This is Rocky Creek Bridge at Big Sur.
Another bridge, this one is called Bixby Creek Bridge.
This is one of my favorites pictures. McWay Falls at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park at Big Sur.
This is another angle shot from the drone of McWay Falls.
Even tho some of these shots could be a bit difficult to accomplish, the end result is worth it. With a little bit of practice almost anyone is capable of using a drone for amazing aerial photography, and capturing these unique photos gives the user on Google Maps a unique perspective to the area which would be viewed time after time.
Do you use aerial drone photography for your Google Maps Contribution? What are some of the challenges you face while trying to achieve shots for Google Maps?
Stay Blessed,
Jon
