I am a big fan of taking photos with my mobile phone when I am in a new place, when I go to a restaurant, when I travel, when I just walk down the street.
Let’s take advantage of these days when the streets are empty and in some countries we are in quarantine, to take time to review our photo gallery and find what contributions we can upload to Local Guides. Doing this manually could be very complicated. In my case, I also have many selfies, photos of my puppy, photos with my family, among others. That’s why I love the Google Photos app, it has a powerful image recognition algorithm that helps me to classify them according to my searches.
For example, if I search “Food” I get all the photos that I took of my Food&Drinks in restaurants and now I can upload them in every place that I’ve visited before the quarantine. If I search “Landscapes” or “Buildings” I get photos of incredible places that I’ve shooted and could be a great contribution to Local Guides.
So, I invite you to use the app and select the best contributions from your image gallery and at the same time share other useful searches in Google Photos (For example I love to search “Beach”, it reminds me my summer).

Soy una fanática de tomar fotos con mi celular cuando estoy en un nuevo lugar, cuando voy a un restaurante, cuando viajo, cuando simplemente voy caminando por la calle.
Aprovechemos estos días en los que las calles están mas vacías y en algunos países estamos en cuarentena, para tomarnos un tiempo de revisar nuestra galería de fotos y buscar que contribuciones podemos subir a Local Guides.
Hacer esto manualmente podría ser muy complicado. En mi caso también tengo muchas selfies, fotos de mi perrita, fotos con mi familia, etc. Es por eso que me encanta la aplicación Google Photos, porque tiene un algoritmo de reconocimiento de imágenes super potente que me ayuda a clasificarlas según mis búsquedas.
Por ejemplo, si busco “Food” obtengo todas las imágenes que tomo de comidas en restaurantes y las puedo colocar en cada lugar que he visitado antes de la cuarentena. Si busco “Landscapes” o “Buildings” obtengo fotos de lugares increíbles a los que le he tomado foto y también pueden ser una contribución muy buena para Local Guides.
Los invito a usar la app y seleccionar las mejores contribuciones de su galería de imagen y a la vez compartir otro tipo de búsquedas útiles en Google Photos.
