Urad Dal Halwa
Hello dear LGs, sharing this recipe which I tried on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Ingredients :
White Urad Dal
Milk
Cardamom
Dry fruits
Ghee
Recipe :
Soak the urad Dal overnight.
Wash it properly and strain the excess water with a strainer.
Take a pan on a has stove, add ghee and add the urad Dal into it.
Keep stirring until the fall becomes good red in colour.
Turn off the flame and turn the mixture into another bowl and keep it aside until it becomes cool.
Take the mixture into a mixer grinder and churn it into a lil fine powder.
Take the pan on a gas stove, adding ghee to it take the mixture and stir until it becomes red/ brown in colour.
Add milk into it. ( Ensure to add milk in smaller chunks) 2 litres milk to be used for 250 gm of urad dal.
Add cardomom powder, chopped dry fruits and keep stirring the mixture until it start forming together in the middle.
Tadaaa!! It’s ready!!

Urad Daal Halwa!!! I didn’t heard it before your recipe, but I love Urad ki Daal aur Chawal by Mom.
But after reading the recipe and method, I m desperate to try it.

Woww it’s very yummy halwa. I heard about moong haal halwa but you made halwa from Urad daal too. Very nice and healthy halwa. Photo is very attractive. Thank you so much for sharing it with us @AnjaliKB
