I am suddenly having problems uploading photos to Maps. They simply will not load and I receive a message saying that there are too many problems with the upload. As you can see, I can post to other parts of the site and download everthing that I usually do.
It isn’t my machine as I can upload to other sites such as Facebook.
Any help would be appreciated.

Where on Google Maps are you trying to upload a photo (please share the Maps link)?

Also, let us see a screenshot of the error code you get.
Finally, please confirm that the issue persists.
PS: Did you try clear the cache?

Thank you for your interest in my problem. To answer your questions:
I am using a desktop PC running Windows10 Pro. My browser is Google Chrome.
I have tried a number of photos from different drives and to different Locations in England, France and Spain. All fail.
This is the fail screen:
The issue has now been running for two days and still exists right now. I have copied you into a post from another UK based LG @Samuria who is complaining about the ten photo upload limit. It was from when the limit was imposed that my problem started. What is puzzling is that I can sucessfully upload to other sites and can see all of my Maps data’

I’m having a hard time reading the error message. Does it say “too many connection failures”? If so, have you tried to use an alternative connection? Maybe via your phone.
I noticed that you added some yellow text. This is only allowed if it is relevant, and only if placed along one side of the image. You could test removing the yellow text and see if that helps.

If so, it might be worth considering this guideline: The image should clearly show the place.
I don’t think we have found any resolution to the max 10 upload limit, and it could be related. But I think it is worth checking the above first. Also, would you be able to try to upload the same image from your phone to test if the problem persists? This will give us clues as to whether the issue is related to your computer, your device, or your account.

Please clear your cache as suggested above. This could be an issue limited to Google Maps and not affect other sites.
I looked at your photos, which are of high technical quality, but you might not be aware of the guidelines related to not uploading redundant photos.

Once again, thank you for trying to help me.
Since my last message to you I have cleared my chache and restarted my PC.
I have uploaded a new review without any problems. My stats are showing perfectly well.
In the past I have uploaded many scenes taken from a location rather than of it without any problems whatsoever. Nor have I ever had a problem with putting my copyright on any photo.
I use my phone as a hotspot to connect to the rest of the world. I got rid of our landline and modem over three years ago because it is simply faster and enormously cheaper. I have no communication problems with any other site nor with Google Maps other than I can’t upload photos - any photo regardless of content, location or source drive and I have tried all sorts of combinations.
I am now convinced that the problem is being caused by the software update that now restricts uploading photos to ten and as another LG in the UK is having problems, perhaps the problem is associated with the data centre dealing with us. Having tried everything else and considering that the problem only arose when the restrictive software was activated, simple logic says that is where the problem lies.

The software update is definitely flawed.
I perfectly understand why the system managers would want to restrict the number of photos being updated in one hit but I now can’t even upload one!

I can only now post 10 photos but get messages from Google X people have seen your photos post more. I have reach 100 million views and level 10 I have posted photos for years and been doing graves were 10 photos doesnt cut it as people are using it to find relatives grave so need to be able to see individual graves all my photos are of POI and relevant as can be seen by views 500,000 in last week

Does this just happen in the UK or is it a new policy you can only upload 10 photos? I have done graves for two years and found graveyard that weren’t on Google. People want to see graves looking for relatives and ten photos don’t cut it. 100 million views show it’s needed I also do parks.
It’s daft every week Google asks me to post more photos but then limited to 10 I can still post 50 but have to do it many times i can understand so public post silly photos but at level 10 you would expect google to show some respect for guides judgment on photo
Recently there was a policy change to limit the amount of photos that can be uploaded at one time to ten.
I wasn’t aware of that and tried to upload more than that, as had been my habit. I got an error massage telling me about the limit. OK, I thought, I’ll just upload 10. That’s when the problem started. I got a message saying that there were too many consecutive errors so couldn’t upload.
I have no problem uploading photos to other photography sites I participate in = No problem with my PC
I can upload to Google Maps with my laptop = No problem with my Maps account.
I have cleared my Google Chrome cache - no solution.
I don’t know what else to try and I have been unable to find any help relatingto my problem. Any help you might give will be greatly appreciated.

I remember your initial posts on this.
I have submitted a question to the next meeting with the Googlers based in your issue. I asked them to clarify if there is a general limit being imposed on all Local Guides or if this is a new sanction coming from the spam filter (moderation system).
If I get an answer I will follow up in your original thread.

I can replicate what you reported, on desktop only, while on mobile apparently the limitation is not present.
So, first of all I can say that it is not related to UK (I am in Italy).
As the problem is the same already mentioned in your first post and in there you already have a reply from a Google Moderator ( @DeniGu ) to keep connect organized I am merging this post on the original thread
