Some people upload their photos to google map while on the meetup and they are really super fast on uploading photos and videos to the maps while walking on the streets.
but some people take more photos, so they come home and upload those at their free time and some say they like to use the home wifi to upload such big files (videos and photos) and that will prevent additional data usage from the mobile network.
The below video shows how to upload photos after your meetup to google map. this tutorial will help you minimize uploading photos to irrelevant places.
all you need to do is enable location information from your camera setting or from the main setting and then capture photos. I would recommend you to capture the name board of the business. this will help you to find the business name from the map after tapping the map window from the photo information.
this technique is perfect works on my Pixel 2 XL and hope this will work on other Android devices too.
Also, I would like to ask iOS users to confirm whether this works fine in your devices? @KarenVChin@FaridTDF is this working on your iOS
I’m sure this will help you @KashifMisidia after your meetup you can upload those to maps. and as I said you can take a name board of the business place/place and that will help you to find the place from the map.
It works perfectly for me. I do this also with my Sony DSC bridge camera. I upload my photos on Google photo, and in a few hours Google Maps is asking me to upload the photos to the POIs
Thanks for the tips @IlankovanT , I accidentally found this method a few months back when I uploaded pics to google photos. But didn’t realize how much it could ease the photo location finding until reading this post.
