Upload over Wi-Fi Only button 🔳 in Maps[Feature Request]

Could we have a settings option to Publish/Upload Photos​:camera_flash:/Videos :video_camera: to Google Maps app only via Wi-Fi is enabled? (like in Street View app)

Some Local Guides (like me) who lives in countries where internet mobile data is extremely unaffordable (like Sri Lanka) . So we have very limited data Plans on mobile phones. Increasingly higher resolution mobile pics eats our data plan a lot.

So what we do is save them to be added later when we have Wi-Fi / Home internet connections. This creates a few problems like

  1. Totally forgetting to add pics/videos.

  2. Forgetting the exact location (of new places)

  3. Mixing up pics between places (POIs)

So if we can have a feature to only upload/publish over wifi, we can add photos then and there, (even inside reviews) and app will upload lesuarly when we have a more affordable Wi-Fi connection .

Just a thought I had now. :wink:

Didn’t know this. Just tried it and after few seconds, the notification disappeared. Hope Android didn’t kill it completely. Will wait till I get to a wifi connection and let you know.
