upload 360 Fotos in Maps App with GPS koordinates, HOW? or other way?

Hello together,

for my 360 Fotos i use normally streetmaps app. This will canceled next year.

How i can load up directly 360 Fotos in google maps app

on a “not known/marked” place, e.g. with gps coordinates?

i want share a foto from nature/forest … is this not possible?

Google writes:

go to “beitragen”, next site, “foto hinzufügen” ok,

on the top i can choose “Ort (location)” but only

named/marked location are shown. but perhaps i’m 100 meters away.

GPS datas will not accept?

And i don’t can create a location before, normally in nature i haven’t got

a necessary adress.

Workaround: i set a marker on card. then i can choose new location.

i can give a new Name, i can choose a categorie and in adress stands the PLUS Code automatic.

and then i can send it to google to check. ??? Perhaps google accept the location later,

then i can set my foto on the correct position later.

google, your way is wrong.

Anyone a hint for me?

Thanks

Hi @KMH1

I read the latest announcements on this as it will no longer be possible to upload single 360 images to any set of GPS coordinates. We will be limited to adding such images to existing points of interest = pins on Google Maps.

I know some are sad and upset about this.

Cheers

Hi @KMH1 , you can find an exhaustive answer in the help page of Google Maps: Create & publish Photo Spheres to Google Maps

It is correct that adding a photo using Google Maps you can only add photos on Listings, and please avoid to create fake listings only to attach a 360 in there.

However there are other options, explained in the article:

  • “You can also use apps made by other companies … (The list of 3rd party publishing tools featured on the Street View website is not exhaustive. There are multiple other apps with similar functionalities that you can find online)”
  • If you’re a developer, you can create your own tool with the Street View Publish API
