Content editing in Idea Post is similar to the content editing on other boards.
Definitely, you can remove the picture by pressing Backspace, from your post. Further you can remove the unused picture under the Photos section from your profile too.
May i know which Idea post you are talking about ? Can you please share the link ?
Hello @KishorMali
I appreciate your endeavours to publish posts through the phone.
However, in my opinion, that’s not the most suitable medium for creating new posts. The small screen size & also the cursor jumping problem makes that utmost difficult.
To resolve that, I suggest following way forward.
Every Google account holder has access to Google Docs online.
Create the complete document first in Google Docs, including images. Ensure that the image size is less than 3 MB
Then select all & copy the entire thing. Next, paste the content into the required board & that can be idea exchange also.
I tested that & could copy the text + image in a new post in idea exchange.
Please note, the android clipboard can copy & paste images within compatible products only.
I edit my post for purpose is addition of my idea’s link into my post.
ARE YOU SURE?.
In this question, I not mention about image.
I think you misunderstood.
I said when I upload image it’s unpublished.
And appear as highlight area.
Highlighted Area is not a image!!
And you reply…

Here, I not mention about photo, and your reply looks different to my question. That why I say you.
I have a bad memory too, @KishorMali , as I remember you mentioned “image”.
BTW, editing a post after someone responded is a bad way to interact with other people. If you want to make an edit, for correcting your post, just keep the old text strikethrough.
BTW, the Updating Media message is a message that you can get on mobile while you have a bad connection.
The message may be active if the post still on edit, but should disappear once posted.
I do not see any “Updating Media” message, nor a photo placeholder, on your idea
Your method with having pictures (<3M each) in a Google Document and then copy-pasting the text AND pics to Connect does it leave the photos intact? And they will not count towards the 1000 pics max on Connect?
So far I have uploaded pics separately after pasting the test only. Great news if this works. Thanks so much for this valuable tip.
This is a test where I include an image inserted into this Google Document. The aim is to see if the photo counts towards the max 1000 here on connect.
This image is first shared in Google Photos. The link you get there is not usable. Instead, I right-click and select “Copy image address”. The in Google Docs: Insert | Image | By URL. But NO. this strategy is also stealing a seat in my 1000-bus!
I give up. The HTML trick is all the I see left. Which is not very user-friendly.
What happen with your idea post, @KishorMali is that, probably due to low connection, there are a couple of photo that still apparently in upload. The one that I asked you to delete is a duplicate of the one already uploaded.
I wanted to see if, removing the duplicate, the issue was self disappearing.
I am tagging @MortenSI , as he was already writing on your post to check inside the post
