Updating locals in the age of speed

Living in the age of speed is often not easy. Arranging a meet with your friends and getting everyone to sync their calendars for brunch can be a challenge worthy of the Avengers. It can all go south very fast once you find out the hard way that the spot you used to go to months ago, has different serving hours, a new address or even was closed.

This has happened to me on a few occasions and it has determined me to update the details about the locations I visit.

I have found a lot of places that have a very good breakfast menu, that would not have the hours updated, not mention the breakfast or simply wouldn’t be on Google Maps.

I like updating sites, operation hours, addresses, parking availability, pricing details and so much more. I do this not only to help others not arrive at a close location but help people and businesses to find each other.

Crowd sourced information is most of the time more accurate and arrives faster to the people that need to see it than information that is provided by a central entity. In the same way Waze and Google Maps can give you a faster, more efficient route based on the live information it receives from their many users, Google Maps can also provide more accurate information the more people enter data about different places.

Share your knowledge. Help create a more accurate map for everybody.
