It looks very nice on map, I mean the roads on satellite or map looks great. But its really a big hassle when road conditions changes.
When I see, road conditions changes due to anything, I immediately try sharing. Actually I feel so much strongly obliged to let other people know the road conditions. And of course, sharing video is my first choice. I mostly share the construction or repairing work on the roads that may take months.
This way any smart users can get update on roads before hand.
I also like to add 360 deg pictures of new places.
I used to feel “guilty” at first, thoughts crossed my mind that would this “good Samaritan act” put me into any trouble? For this reason, it took long time to decide to share pictures with Google Map.
Well, I did fell in trouble, but in Thailand, I got lost!!!
I got rescued by Google Map and Street View. The Google Map had latest pictures from Google and contributors like you and I.
I did not have my Google account connected to lots of applications. I just allowed as much that I can use the phone enough.
When I started use Google Map in Thailand, I connected my account with Google Map in my mobile phone.
And I also was astonished that lots of Thai people and others did contribute to Google Map without hesitating.
The Google Map pictures helped me a lot in Thailand. A foreign land for me, but Google Map made me “hero”. Before I went anywhere, I always reviewed the Google Map first. Google Map made me look smart in uncharted places.
From this incident, I started to share with Google Maps, just return a favor to Google Map plus help people.
And whether I am invited to Connect Live 2019 or not, I will still be contributing to Google Map and that’s my objective.
