Update: Local Guide on Youtube + A Cool Playground

Hope everyone had a great weekend. :slightly_smiling_face:

I wanted to give an update on my 90 days Local Guide Video Challenge on my Youtube channel, which you can read more about via my Connect post

So far, it has been a fun journey. It has encouraged me to get more out of the house and to explore more outdoors places. I also have been able to start compiling a library of videos of different places in AZ. You can see how my playlists are organized by location and category- ex: Playgrounds in Tempe and Playgrounds in Mesa. This in turn is inspiring me to build out some lists on Google Maps. For example, I created a list for the coolest playgrounds in the local Arizona area; I plan on building it out and adding more descriptions to it and photos.

Youtube also is a great way to get the word out about Local Guides. So far, my channel has gotten over 500 unique views and so in turn, my hopes are that may encourage others to become a Guide. It’s also a way to give others -locals and those from afar- into sights in Arizona. My focus is on parks, playgrounds, and hikes.

My favorite video that I’ve done so far is this one.

I added some video stills below. This is a huge playground in the East Mesa area in Arizona, and I also crawled up inside to film what all the tunnels look like, as well as filmed the outside view of the futuristic-looking slides.
