**Edit: Accommodation for the road trip has been booked! I regret doing this last minute because almost everything was booked out in lieu of the long weekend ahead but thankfully I got lucky with some very cozy looking cabins/lodges
My in-laws are visiting us here in Seattle for a month, and one of the must-dos on their travel bucket list is a drive around the Olympic Peninsula. After hours of researching and talking to several folks, I have created a 3 night - 4 day itinerary. I even discovered the Olympic Culinary loop, a dedicated trail of the finest food around the peninsula. Isn’t that crazy?!
I am very open to suggestions or other must-see recommendations, so feel free to read and comment below!
Day 1:
Seattle - Bainbridge Island - Port Ludlow (optional) - Port Townsend - Cline Spit - Port Angeles - Lake Crescent
Question: Does anyone know what the status of the US 101 closure is? Is the road open for access to Lake Crescent straight from Port Angeles?
Day 2:
Sol-Duc (optional) - Rialto Beach (La Push) - Hoh Rainforest - Lake Quinault via Kalaloch Lodge
Day 3:
Gray’s Harbour - Hoodsport (optional) - Liliwaup - Hamma Hamma - Lake Cushman - Union
Day 4:
Union - Vashon Island - Seattle
If you’ve done the Olympic loop and have recommendations or suggestions for me, I will be so very grateful
