Since Egypt is an international tourism destination, you will be always in the middle of a crowd.Be patient and wait for the right moment to take your photos.
Like in many developing countries, poverty is a big issue. Sometimes, you can see people looking in the trash. This picture has been taken in front of the wall of the Great Piramids.
The traffic jam are a constant in Cairo.If you are in a hurry, just relax. If you want to drive, good luck. Always you can find Uber.
One option to move fast are the moto-taxis
Street sellers. They are everywhere. Sometimes is funny to bargain, sometimes could be annoying. There’s no magic tricks, just avoid eye contact .
The Cairo Museum
It is a place full of world Heritage.The ancien history comes alive inside. With statues of more than 5000 years of antiquity, mummies and objects, it is a place of an invaluable collection. Anyway, the museum is chaotic. There are no signposts and only some pieces have a sign that indicates their name. Even those posters are a museum piece in themselves.Some of the pieces are exhibited are in boxes.
The Egyptian government is building a new museum, next to the Pyramids that is going to be the biggest in the world.
Do not be discouraged. The purpose of this post is that you can be alert about some realities and that when you arrive at this beautiful destination you do not feel a great shock.
