My reviews aren’t published. Is it because I was on a VPN? I tried editing the review without the VPN, but it still didn’t show. Is it possible for someone to look and see if I’m inadvertently violating policies? Maybe they’re just in moderation?
@lindsc VPN will show that you’re on a different location when you try to make the review. Google isn’t sharing the logic on that, so we don’t know for sure if it will trigger warning as part of automatic approval. It can take some time for reviews to be published if you’re sure that your reviews aren’t subject to any violations. There are things i want to highlight.
- GMap AI mostly confirm your contents as per your location history and the data of the same place which submitted bu other users. And using of VPN map AI get confuse about your location history. So it will take time to publish in this case.
- And mostly why you are using VPN for your content ???
Hello, I have been a consistent and responsible Local Guide for the past 5 years. However, for the past 1 month none of my new reviews are showing up publicly. All are only visible to me, butnot visible publicly. I have raised an appeal to Google Maps. They have checked my account and confirmed via email that there is no problem with my account. So why are my reviews not showing up ?

Please check your Google map settings.
If your profile is restricted, than no one can see your contribution, unless your followers.
Option is available in settings / Personal content / Restricted Profile. [ Mark it off ].

I doubt your use of a VPN can explain why your new reviews do not go public.
I suggest you read Known issue: Unpublished reviews and photos on Google Maps. And, make a reply to request your account also be investigated.

My profile is always public. It’s not restricted. Still my latest reviews are not displaying publicly.

The setting for restricted profile is not affecting if reviews go public or not. The setting only affects if your lists of photos and reviews will be shown under your maps profile.
Normally reviews will always be shown under the places. That is if they comply to the review guidelines.
