If you ask me how people nowadays get busy in different ways, I would tell you my story about it! I live in a Baltic state, in Latvia, it is little country, that you can cross approximately for the 6-7 hours by car!
However, most of the people are living in a few biggest cities and never know what’s interesting around them! In Latvia, we have a seasonal habit to drive in two or three destinations to get close to the nature and see some traditional sightseeing. In that times you can totally stuck on main roads for a seasonal traffic jam and a holiday is such a poor after that crawling!
I love travel that in unordinary way! First, I am a born explorer, so even being in a trip, I am already planning a next one up. Therefore, I usually browsing a google map around places where I have been before, and places that I am passed by, when I was on some other way! Often I get pay attention for location names and searching for a gem! For many locals would be a surprise to know that in Latvia we have places with famous names like Malta, Nice, Madona, Pure, Ogre or even Ēģipte (Egypt)! It is funny to google some: “places to visit near ogre” or “sandy shores in Egypt, Latvia”.
Therefore, I have a habit to travel for in a weekend in a different direction of my country, and I am spending my time gathering an information about nice places all-around of my country!
Usually I take my friends or family with me, to get to know some new space around our traditional routes. I’ve just send them picture of planning trips and waiting for their response. Usually it doesn’t take much time! I am lucky to have an openmined, active and positive companions. So we planning a details and from that moment, they already anticipate the beginning of the trip! So do I!
Actually, I have set myself a goal, to drive through all international and regional roads in my country, and I hope I will pass it within a next few years! Therefore, I hope to collect all roads driven in my future timeline for have an access to my warm memories of the feeling being a real explorer, a real local guide!
