University College Ibadan is the first teaching hospital in Nigeria. Commenced operation in 1957 as reference center in medical practice, training ground for medical doctors, nurses, dentist, radiologist etc and affiliated to University of Ibadan. This is still one of the institutions that gave Oyo the state in Nigeria with Ibadan as the capital “the pacesetter state”
