As many of us are aware, 15th August is the Independence Day of India. Because of many restrictions, most of us are unable to move out freely - so @AmbrishVarshney and Collaborate with @NareshDarji @Tejal @TravellerG and @deepakjhic has taken an initiative for ‘India Unity Walk’ and we are coming with our another mission of Spam free Maps II. We did the first event last year; but was on a small scale. People are posting unwanted photos on Google Maps, which are misguiding the community.
What is Spam free Google Maps?
In this India Unity Walk Mission, we will report photos , videos & reviews which are not relevant to the particular location.
Example.
- Personal photos (including photos with prominent faces & vehicle Number Plates, etc.), 2) Selfies, 3) Duplicate photos , 4) Checking misguiding reviews (not helpful), 5) Report reviews of the copy-pasted reviews, 6) Irrelevant & unrelated reviews for the location.
How can we do this?
A. Apply & get the Meetup approved for August 15th (avoid FLAG hoisting time 10 to 11 AM)
B. Dedicate your time during the Meetup hours to do the Spam Clearing
C. Write a RECAP with relevant details & post it in LG Connect.
How to Apply for LG Connect Meetup?.
We need the following items to apply for an LG Connect Meetup.
(1). A Banner (as per sample in this post),
(2). Title: Unity Spam free Map India.
(3). Type of Meet up: Others.
(4). TEXT for the Post: Given below.
(5). The Location: Type your location.
(6). Date: 15-08-2020 (August 15)
(7). Time: Any time from 8 AM to 8 PM, other than 10 to 11 AM as we have India Independence Day Flag hoisting.
How to clear the Spam?
You can stay at your home, open Google Maps App and start cleaning as explained below. Please keep the record of all cleaning you do, so that you can write it in the RECAP.
1). On your computer, open Google Maps. Make sure you’re signed in.
2). In the top left, click Menu.
3). Select ‘Send feedback’ option.
4). In the window that pops up, choose the feedback you would like to give.
5). Follow the instructions.
6). Click Submit.

As we probably are aware, many individuals utilize the Google Maps as Basic and Important instrument, in their day by day life. On the contrary lots of individuals utilize as Storage or for Spamming.
So our “Indian Local Guide Community’’ has decided to celebrate this Independence Day of our country with “India Unity Walk II” (spam free maps). The main motto of the mission is making Google Maps spam-free and updating the correct information.
