Fridays are our tour days - on 18th Jan 2019 we started off to spend the weekend at Dubai Safari and reached there in high spirits only to find it was closed for renovation 
Since we had packed our picnic lunch, we just drove off in the road that was going out from the Dubai Safari and tried to reach Al Qudra Lakes. Following Google directions we reached D 63 road Al Qudra street and kept driving through Town Square Dubai, Saih Al Salam street only to reach nowhere…!!! We just kept driving and saw the SIGN of DUBAI SHOW JUMPING CHAMPIONSHIP 2019 and asked the people around what it was. The entry was free. The show jumping was just going to start. We were entertained by the Show jumping from different countries. It was an AMAZING experience.

Thank you for this detailed post and the great pictures, sometimes the most beautiful things happen when you least expect it. Do you like horses? Did you ever ride a horse?
PS: The place where I grew up, Morocco, is very popular for horses and for its equestrian center too.

Thanks for the post. Yes, it was my first trip. This is in DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. No, it is not a regular tourist centre, we just reached there because our destination was closed that day. But I think there are regular visitors, people who are interested in horse races, you know, something like how you would see the same people in a Library? Something like that

@BorrisS Hi. I do love horses - mostly in paintings They are so majestic. Aren’t they? Only once I have been on a horse with a horse boy ( what do you call a person who controls a horse for a tourist like me who has no experience of horse riding???) It was an amazing experience - because on my first ride, I went over a small mountain on the edge of Petra, Jordan to reach the upper level of the famous Treasury of Petra.
I will never ever forget that ride.
My first and maybe the last ride on a horse…
But I do love horses…in paintings.
