Approx 100 km far from Karachi city and 6 km from Thatta city Makli Graveyard is one of the largest graveyard of the world. It spreaded over 10 square km area having 1 million plus graves and tombs built over the course of 400 years period.
Makli features several large funerary monuments belonging to royal families, various sufi saints, and esteemed scholars. In 1981 Makli declared as unesco world heritage site.
The architecture work done on tombs is worth watching specially there are few tombs which remains close for normal public. If you get a chance visit them.
There is loads of history at Makli and anyone interested in history must visit this place.
