Under-evaluated places in Kyrgyzstan. Guesthouses.

Hi! My name is Veronika (24). I am from Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia.

Our country is laid at crossroads of Silk Road, covered with celestial mountains and diverse landscapes. No doubt, that genuine adventures are eager to visit it and experience nomad lifestyle, national cuisine and hospitability. And I had chance to work as travel guide for several years and check-in in most of them.

The thing that I like the most on Google Maps is to visit places that are on my wish-list, yet are not actively cited or reviewed by others. I have an opportunity to make my own investigation and play role of “secret visitor”.

The recent discovery is guesthouse in Karakol city. It is a small town on the shore of Isykkul Lake (another “must-see” cite, will be covered in next stories), linear architecture (you move “up” and “down” along the city). During summertime it attracts with green bazaars, harbour with boats and reilings, and free-to-visit clergy services in main religious institutions (mosque, and cathedral); on winter it transforms into ski and snowbording resort with ski rentals, hotels and hostel for active riders.

That’s why I was surprised to excavate EverGreen, full-season guesthouse with bed&breakfast, free WI-FI and amiable hostess. She served as royal family, even though there were only few visitors. Interior was made in asian tradition, blankets and carpets were decorated with ornaments, furniture and other housing were carved from pines and spuces, in addition in kitchen there were pottery and porcelain plates. This charming place was highly rated, but number of reviews were disappointing.

I am so glad that Google has given me a hint to visit this guesthouse.

Surely, it is worth of visiting.
