This touching incident happened on 6 th of April, when I was in Matheran. I got up early to enjoy Sunrise at Khandala point. Mesmerised by the beauty of the place and settled down to take a few pictures of the mountain range and the valley below. I was warned to keep away from monkeys , which may snatch away any thing like camera, mobile phone, goggles and especially eatables…so I decided not to carry any eatables. But still monkeys were getting closer and trying to cause trouble, then suddenly these two dogs, who were just sniffing around till then took charge and started fending them off. I felt so thrilled with these unexpected saviours showering love. But unfortunately I could only pet them, couldn’t reciprocate their love because was not carrying any eatables fearing attack from monkeys. It was early in the morning, shops were all shut. So there was no chance of even buying few biscuits for them. Their unconditional love towards a stranger like me moved me to the core.
No wonder. Dogs are called mans best friend.

Hi @LakshmiK You are also a dog lover like me.
That was my doggie…always a dog lover since a kid and always had dogs throughout my life. Honey was the last and best one.

Hello@LakshmiK
Your description is really nice, also the pics. But pic of the sun rise? These two pics were probably taken by some other person? If yes, then your share?
But whatever the case may be, we have enjoyed.
Best wishes.
