However, it’s unclear which policies my review allegedly breached. Interestingly, I posted another review for a different restaurant with positive remarks and that, too, was auto-censored for a few days.
"We gave advance notice for the dietary needs of my partner. In email correspondence, the restaurant supervisor assured us that we could order plain, boiled vegetables when we arrive.
When we arrived, my partner was served was boiled vegetables seasoned with black pepper. We sent this back to the kitchen.
What came next was a plate of boiled vegetables that were undercooked. The potatoes were tough because they were not fully cooked. No reasonable person could justify this as “al dente”. The wait staff did not ask how well done the vegetables should be cooked until after we sent this second plate back.
While the correct order was eventually served, and the supervisor made genuine efforts to rectify the restaurant’s shortcomings, we still left the restaurant feeling disappointed with the experience as a whole.
The consommé and turbot dishes I ordered were underwhelming. I was not excited by these dishes. The Croatian red wine that was recommended by the wait staff was good.
There are definitely better places to eat in Zagreb that won’t sting your wallet or purse.
I recognise the accommodations that were made, such as moving us to the quieter outdoor seating area to avoid a loud, disruptive group of people at the nearby bar.
People with dietary requirements should not be excluded or disregarded, especially when the calibre of the restaurant implies freshly-made food to order with a high degree of accuracy and care."
