Hi all! I’m new to this site and this is my first post here, so please forgive me if I’m doing something incorrectly, but I’d also appreciate any suggestions if there’s something I should have done differently. That said…
I’ve been posting photos for some time without any issues but starting yesterday, I’ve not been able to get any photos to load. I’m using an iPhone 8+ and it used to take several seconds for the progress bar to reach the end, It now moves immediately to the far side and then just ‘hangs’ there, never actually loading any photos.
I’ve tried loading ‘just’ the photo, and I’ve also tried rating the site I’d visited, with an attached photo. Neither seemed to upload the photo. I’ve also tried this over both a cellular connection and over WiFi and neither seemed to work.
I sent a note to Google using their ‘notifications’ option yesterday, but had heard that I may get a quicker reply/assistance if I posted to this site.
Is anyone else experiencing current issues uploading photos and/or does anyone have a possible solution?
I note you have posted a review along with a photo for Port Byron Gazebo two days back. Possibly the photos do get uploaded but aren’t visible to you instantly.
Nevertheless, try un-stalling & reinstalling the Maps app.
Also, my suggestion. Please ensure that the image format is either JPG or PNG.
Well, I can’t imagine being a whole lot more embarrassed! Sometimes it’s the simplest solutions!

I’m not sure why it was working when I uploaded the gazebo picture (which uploaded within a few seconds) but seems to have stopped since then, but deleting and reinstalling the app seems to have fixed it!

Also, please use the tagging tool while replying to a post or comment by typing @ & then selecting or writing an appropriate name. That way the intended recipient gets a positive notification.
