I have added a place which has now gone live on Gmapp,
Whenever I update my phone number, I get the error “Google can’t verify my edit”.
I don’t know why this happens to me but can you help me to update the as par shop image number?

If you created the place, then you have only on chance to make more changes.
Also, I remember several reports stating that adding mobile phone numbers could be impossible.
Make sure the phone number is not a private number, or a prepaid number.
Are you associated with the business?

I do not belong to this business.
This was the nearest place to my house which was not showing in googlemap.
That’s why I have added this place but I am not able to update the mobile number.
Whenever I update my mobile number, my edit doesn’t get verified per image.
I do not know whether this is a private number or a prepaid number.
You can see in the image given below that the number is not getting updated after place creation.
Can you help me in this case?

The problem is that the phone number can be essential to verifying one’s ownership if the place. So Google is very careful not to let anyone edit phone numbers. Whemy did you not add it when you created the place?
I would personally forget about it. Alternatively, suggest the owner to claim the business. He will then be more likeky to be able to fix it.

When I had added the place, I had already added the mobile but this listing has gone live without the mobile.

India has had numerous problems with spammers. That might explain your problems.

I’m helping in numerous threads, so I am unable to remember earlier replies in other threads.
As mentioned in the other thread there are no tricks to get mobile numbers added. I believe the problem could be linked to India where I undertand there is no online directory covering all phone companies.
I think you should just let it fly. Getting obsessed with one detail is stealing time that can be spend more wisely.
I can not explain why a business can get approved with or without a mobile phone number.
