Unable to add branches nearby

Discovered an issue on Google Maps: when two closely located places(kindergarten) share the same name, Google rejects new additions if an old one exists nearby. I’m dealing with two kindergarten buildings, around 500 meters apart, with same names as if they’re branches. Despite attempting to add the new place with a new picture, it gets published temporarily and then disappears. Google thinks it’s the old place already exist. Google believes the place already exists.Any ideas for a solution?

Hi @gopukrishnantec

I know the feeling and problem.

An unconventional workaround is to create the new kindergarten further away and then after approval move it back to the correct location.

But first I suggest you try the following. Make sure the phone number and website are not the same.

Best of luck

Sounds like a plan :slightly_smiling_face:
