The aborigines of Australia are the oldest culture, Uluru is the place of Anangu Pitjantjatjara. The Anangu have lived and managed this country for thousands upon thousands of years. Archaeological evidence shows Aboriginal people have lived in Central Australia for at least 30,000 years. Uluru is a living cultural landscape. Anangu are guided by Tjukurpa (law) to keep both culture and country strong. This is something that has never changed. If you visit Uluru you may see people dot painting, performing inma (traditional dance and song), telling stories or gathering bush tucker. The symbolism used in Uluru’s rock art is thought to date back at least 5,000 years. Anangu have a living culture, this symbolism is still used in sand painting, wooden craft making, body painting and modern artworks today. The Anangu own all of Uluru and Kata Tjuta and lease it back to Parks Australia to be jointly managed as a national park.

Hi @arunshanker ,
Welcome to Connect!
Thanks for sharing the amazing image and inspiring story of the Aborigines of Australia! I bought beautiful Aborigine handcrafts in Australia a year or so back and had a fantastic time. Have you visited Uluru recently, mind telling us more about your experience?
By the way, as you are new on Connect, please share a bit about yourself in our monthly Introduce Yourself topic as this creates interaction between fellow Local Guides.
Please feel free to also check out a similar topic about Uluru, one of Australia’s natural wonders.
PS: I’ve relabeled your post and you can find it in the Travel.
