You would find this dish all through Maharashtra during Ganapathy Chathurthi. This modak is the traditional dish of Maharashtra offered to Lord Ganesh.

With sweet stuffing inside, it’s best to taste piping hot. I had attended a heritage walk organised by Khakhi tours regarding Ganapathy Chathurthi temples and celebrations at south Mumbai

There I got to taste this Prasad. There is an ancient shop that sells Maramari drink. One of the popular beverage of Maharashtra which has become very rare. This shop is located at Gaiwadi market.

Can you describe a little bit more about Maramari drink, what kind of of taste , its look like coffee, tea or cola ?

It’s more of a cola drink with less of sweet. It is usually consumed cold only during summer. This drink is sold only in South Mumbai Gaiwadi market from March to September. It is seen all through Vinayak Chathurthi but only in this market @BudiFXW
