Griddy, an Retail Electricity Provider in the state of Texas, is offering points to customers for submitting Google reviews. These points can be redeemed for cash and company swag. While they do not explicitly ask for positive reviews, it’s pretty clear that they are hoping to reward customers for giving them good reviews. They also require that you attach screenshots of the reviews, and who is going to submit a negative review? Please see the attached screenshots on the linked articles. You can see from the huge influx of positive reviews over the last week the impact this is having. I’ve posted this on Google My Business Help and Google Maps Help and have not received any answers from Google. Hoping this can get someone’s attention!

Hi @RDFreeman , I’m very sorry that you haven’t received a return from Google My Business. You can also tweet to them at @googlemybiz or message them on Facebook. You can report invalid reviews by following the steps in the Flag inappropriate reviews topic.
Best regards,
Alexandre Campbell
