On a hot sunny day in Cairo at the end of summer when I went to grab my items from Aramex downtown, I was at the pickup store on the same day they were moving. luckily I was able to track my shipping to another pickup store, I was in a hurry so I just take the road destination and searched on google maps and Walla! found it, 15 minutes later I was there looking for the physical store try my best with GPS and asking people but there was no clue it was there finally, managed to find someone who can really help he explained how google maps was totally wrong about the place and this was not the first time a person come and ask for the same store. I took a minute or two to realize that I’m totally lost and was super frustrating. then I thought about other people how may face the same situation in the future so, I started to follow steps on how can I report that the store does not exist (which were easy steps to follow). so after making a couple of calls, I know this time for sure where is the store exactly and therefore my items.
The next day, I went to the described location but didn’t find the store on maps so I had to rely on asking people where is that store after one long hour I was able to find it YEHOOO FINALLY!
Immediately I didn’t hesitate to take pictures of the store to document it and add that location on the map so everyone can reach it easily and satisfy their experience.
While I’m writing this the added store is viewed by 10+K that’s mean more than 10K people were helped and their experience was much easier than mine and were left pleasant thanks to google maps.
Since then I decided whenever and wherever I’m I will contribute to make google maps a better place for everyone.
