I have made a post regarding hot air balloons (to include pictures) in the last few days to celebrate our Annual Hot Air Balloon Classic over the Labor Day weekend but twice now it’s been removed and I don’t know why. What might I be doing wrong?

I didn’t quite understand the aim of your posts, however sharing a bit more information about your images in general would arouse the curiosity and interest of the other members, and they will have a better understanding of your post.
I have moved your two posts Up, Up and Away!!! and UP, UP and AWAY!!! to the off topic archive, because they were irrelevant to Connect.
Connect is more a place where people can share their travel stories, photography tips, their different food experiences, connect with each other and organize or attend meetups.

Thank you very much @MoniV . As I will be attending the big event this weekend and taking a lot of pictures, would I be able to share those pictures on the Connect forum and would Labor Day weekend festivities be “off-topic”?

I think that What are the Connect topics? and 14 helpful tips for using Connect are very useful posts. There you can find what is considered as off-topic and what is not considered as off-topic.
If you upload photos about some place or food, make sure to add as much details as you can for the Local Guides who are going to read your post :).
And if you just want to upload photos into the Photography board, make sure to share details about what kind of camera did you use, or which technique did you use and so on.
