Turkey's First Virtual Global Meetup Recap

Due to the spread of coronavirus in Turkey , I decided to organize a virtual meetup to share our experiences regarding the last weeks on Google Maps. Therefore, I set up a Google Hangouts Virtual meetup on March 28, Saturday.

Local Guides from Turkey , Gambia , Bangladesh , Cyprus , and Colombia attended the meetup virtually via Google Hangouts Meet. While enjoying our tea and coffees in our homes , we talked about temporary product changes in Google Maps, tips and tricks of sharing reviews of small businesses in Istanbul, and across the world and, of course, participants’ global contributions to the Local Guides program.

Despite 58 local guides applied to the official Google Maps meetup page, a total of 19 local guides connected to our group on Google Hangouts Meet.

It was a great meeting; besides the joy of connecting the world from home, it was a good chance to understand the some keys of local guideness.
