I am trying to add a new place on Maps. It is a laundry that is in my neighborhood. However, every time I try to add the place, it merges with another laundry with a similar name.
This is a tricky situation as there are three laundries in the same street, about 50 meters away from each other, with the same name. They are named ‘Deluxe Laundry’, ‘New Deluxe Laundry’ and ‘New Deluxe Laundry’. Now the history behind this is that all these businesses are owned by the members of the same family (they are brothers), and ‘Deluxe Laundry’ was the first one. The brothers had some personal conflict and each went to start their own service.
I visit the third version of this place, as it is attached to my building. Now, when I try to add it as a separate place on maps, it merges with the ‘original’ Deluxe Laundry. No matter what I do (add with GPS coordinates, add using my phone, etc.), it merges with Deluxe Laundry.
Any help on navigating this tricky, and probably unique situation?

Add the place while being at the exact location to increase the chances of approval. Once the place is approved on Maps, ask the laundry owner to claim the business. After that, others will not be able to merge it.
Hi! I have tried this too, but it didn’t work. It continued to merge.
An interesting case, @SleepyWanderer92.
The only thing, I could imagine, would be to get together with the owner and help adding and claiming his business at the same time.
But I tag @ErmesT for some suggestions.

Thank you. Yes, it’s rather peculiar and it also makes sense why the second shop too is not available on maps. Someone probably tried adding it and faced the same issue.

@Annaelisa has a good point worth a try, @SleepyWanderer92 . In Italy I saw many times ‘Name of the shop di Name of the owner’.

Man muss dem System ja eine Unterscheidungsmöglichkeit bieten bei 3 Wäschereien mit gleichem Namen und naheliegenden Orten, zudem ist jeweils eine genaue Hausnummer wichtig.

Hello everyone! I finally managed to add the place by naming it something entirely different. I named the store Holy Spirit Laundry and Dry Cleaners, and it got added. After that, I just edited the place’s name with its true name
