I visited Visakhapatnam on new year eve, with our four of families on a holiday trip. Visakhapatnam is wonderful beach costal city, clean maintenance, clean waters and beaches. This city is also called as Vizag. There are eight beaches in this southeast India port city, as well as hilltop park Venkatagiri, nature preserve, wildlife sanctuaries, temples and sacred Bhddhist monuments and fascinating submarine museum. Visakhapatnam houses the only Submarine museum in Asia making it one of the best places to visit while in city. This museum is built inside an actual submarine called INS Kurusura which served the Indian Navy for 31 years. It was decommissioned in 2001 and transformed into a museum. This museum takes you down the memory lane with pictures and artefacts depicting the life of the warriors of our country. A trip to Visakhapatnam is incomplete without spending an evening at the lovely beaches located here. We have been to Rishikonda beach popularly know as “Jewel of East Coast” it is one of the most stunning beaches of city. My kids enjoyed a lot here as the tides are calm and makes great pleasure to swim.
