Trip to Jizera Mountains to the top of Ořešník (800 m)

On the trip we took the train from Jablonec nad Nisou via Liberec to Hejnice, from where was our way to the top of Ořešník (800 m).

These pictures show a view of the local church in Hejnice and the background of the hill Ořešník.

Our path led past the local church towards the hill, from where a marked path led yellow and later red.

The road leads through forest terrain, there is already enough snow and it is freezing enough to show us beautiful icicles and frozen nature.

To the Ořešník the road turns one right and one left, we cross bridges and reach higher altitude.

If we want to get to Ořešník, we have to turn on the red sign at the tourist board and on the way we reach the Great Štolpich waterfall.

It’s a really nice place in winter, and a frozen waterfall is the nicest thing in nature. At the Great Štolpich Falls we find amazing peace and quiet and undisturbed nature of the Jizera Mountains, away from the noise, stress and bustle of the city.

Finally we reach the top of Ořešník at an altitude of 800 m. And we see really beautiful views of the wide area, the town of Hejnice. If the weather were sunny, we could definitely see into Poland.

It’s so beautiful here that you can’t feel anything but the power of nature, the beauty of the Czech Republic, and you’re excited to get to this place. And while the weather may not come out, it doesn’t change the fact that Ořešník is a place to visit.
