This is my first post here on Connect, I’m kind of excited about it! I’ve been a local guide for a while now, but I’ve always done it “privately”, never thought about sharing my experiences as one. But here I am doing it, and I’ve decided to start from a trip I’ve recently done in Budapest, Hungary! The city is beautiful and not expensive, I loved both the daylife and nightlife! Only thing is Google maps isn’t super reliable there: I found many places with wrong timetables or phone numbers. I fixed some, but didn’t know the info for others. I’m attaching some of the pictures that I took there!
Thanks!
Hello @cu2mauro ,
Thanks for sharing!
Your photos are amazing, my favorite is the one from the Parliament. What did you like the most in Budapest? If I want to have a drink with my friend, I definitely go to Gozsdu Court. All the great bars and restaurants located there. But if I want to relax and walk, I visit the Buda Castle or the Danube Promenade.
@MortenSI what did you like the most in Budapest?
I love your photos @cu2mauro , you clearly know what you’re doing.
Thanks for the tag @Petra_M !
I just returned from Budapest myself, and I am already itching to go back. With all those amazing sites it’s hard to choose, but my favorite will have to be the Parliament. It’s just stunning, and I found it equally impressive from the inside.
Regarding drinks I went to a bar that went the extra mile with their presentation, and I really enjoyed their cocktails. The cocktail I had here was presented in a fake camera lens to match it’s name “The Paparazzi”. I really enjoyed the creativity at this place.
Thank you @Petra_M for the kind words! I really liked the Danube Promenade too, but my favorite area has to be the one around the Synagogue. It’s full of really good pubs and close enough to the inner city. Also @MortenSI that Paparazzi drink looks amazing! Unfortunately, I didn’t check that place out. Well too bad, I’ll have to go back and see it!
I don’t there was an area of Budapest I didn’t like @cu2mauro , but I agree with you that the area around the synagogue and the river was my favorite. I could get lost there for days.
The Paparazzi drink was very nice, and they had so many other cocktails I wanted to try. However I had to contain myself so I would be sure I could remember them all the day after.
