Hi Everyone,
I met a traveler who is an active member of a couch surfing non profitable community from Germany. She hosted more than 400+ travellers and tourist from around the Globe. Now is traveling in India.
When I met her it was at local metro station as she was in transit from Lotus Temple to Akshardham Temple so I suggested her to eat the lunch because it may take a longer time. She ordered sandwhich and then we asked the owner for near by coffee shop , so he suggested within 20 meters so I like to share the tip it’s not always reviews and maps to depend we can always take tips from local shop owner too.
While we were discussing about food and India we decided to visit Amritsar by train which she already booked by visiting the local train station however I need to book online.
We reached the metro station in morning to take the metro train to railway station however the escalator was working as it was very early againa local guy said we cab use the life instead of waiting.
Another instance we can always take help of local unlike depending on online information only.
We reached Amritsar and was looking for place to stay in various app however we met a local guy who can only host one person suggested us to a place where we can stay together.
Used only app to locate the local cuisine and place to see including Golden Tempel.
It was away from hussle bustle however very peaceful place to spend time after an hour of que.
We also traveled to the border area to witness the flag hosting ceremony.
I always suggest people to see the place in advance online however don’t hesitate to ask locals
