Last year in the month of January I was in Mount Abu which is the only hill station of Rajasthan. Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary was in visiting list due to forest and historical Trevor’s Tank.
We got the entry permit for my car and a guide was accompanying after paying the fee which was affordable. First we have reached at Trevor’s Tank. At first
sight we were amazed by its beauty as surrounded by hills. As this tank is situated about 500 mtrs above Sea level. A pavilion and a royal hunting palace is built. It’s a very attractive place situated inside the Mount Abu Wildlife sanctuary which is a protected Wildlife famous for Deers, Bears, Birds etc as these animals and Birds visit to have water early in the morning and in the evening at this tank. And our vist was at 3 pm so we could enjoy the surroundings of this tank.
This Tank was built by Maharaja Kesari Singh in the memory of Colonel GH Trevor of Rajputana Regiment and was appointed Governor General’s Agent.
It’s a very attractive place for Nature and Peace Lovers wanderes soulseekers. It needs an hour to visit the tank. And wildlife also needs an hour.
