Last weekend, on Sunday, I went for a hike to a beautiful place in Mon State, Myanmar. It was a good hike in the Thanbyuzayat town area. I wanted to watch the sunrise and take some pictures of the view. Therefore, I got up early to start the trekking from San Taw Mountain. You can choose the option you want to go to the pagoda. You can hike, you can ride a motorbike or a car to San Taw Mountain. I went to San Taw Mountain by motorbike. I started the hike at around 5 AM to the camp of Mount Banyae Gajot. On the way there, you need to spend about 3 mountains. You might want to wear Jeans or some flexible long pants because there will be small bamboo plants with sharp leaves that you can get small cuts from them.
Make sure you bring enough water and some snacks with you alone. If you are spending a night, bring a lot of water with you because you won’t get clean water up the mountain. Make sure you’ve got all the hiking equipment and trash bags with you. There is a camp up the mountain where you can rest. There are lighter, pots, and some cups for you to use. It would be great if you can bring some snacks to leave behind for another hiker. So, back to the time I started, it took me about one and a half hours to arrive at the camp. Make sure to bring back your trashes with you to save nature as it is.
Here are some shots from the mountain and on the way to the mountain.
