I am passionate about trekking and hikking, always when I travel I do many mountain routes.
In this case, I share a route with you in Lleida (Congost de Montrebei). It is a quite easy route that can be done in about 4-6 hours according to the rhythm.
This route is suitable for all ages as it does not have much elevation.

I love nature and exploring mountains, although I do prefer the sea more, but if I’m traveling, I love exploring everything. The rocks are amazing indeed, do you live close by?
This place is not near the “Camino de Santiado de Compostela”.Although the correct name is “Camino de Santiago.” This route is very famous but it is far from this route. The road to Santiago has many starting points. You have the possibility to start from many places and one of them is Barcelona
From Barcelona it takes 3 hours by car.
Normally I do mountain or beach routes (with cliffs). In Catalonia we have “The Pyrenees” that there are many mountains and trekkings.
Thanks @AlexTravel for clarifying! Trekking sounds really cool, I like it myself but haven’t done it enough. Have you traveled to many mountains outside Spain? Do you have a favorite place to go hiking/trekking? What’s the highest peak you’ve reached so far?
@DanniS Catalonia has many mountain routes and more than 100 summits to climb! It is a very good area for trekking. Outside Spain I have climbed a few, although this year I’m going to Indonesia to climb 7 volcanoes.
The highest peak I ever climbed was El Teide- 3718m (highest mountain in Spain).

@AlexTravel Wow! Your trip to Indonesia and the 7 Volcanoes sounds like a future post, that all Local Guides here would love to read about! I’ve climbed in Bulgaria, which that highest was 2930 m, but I would love to visit mountains with higher peaks, maybe these in Spain or France to start with.
