I havent been a local Guide long, still have alot to learn but its awesome being a part of this Global Family of Local Guides.
Before this Corona Virus Pandemic, Before this dark cloud, I walked with a spring to my step. I flashed lots of smiles and gave alot of hugs and high fives eherever I went.
Sadly I cant do that any more. There is a terrible lull in everyday affairs in all parts of the world; almost no travelling and a general scare of association, something much valued before.
New terms have come up and Social Distancing is now in effect and its no longer business as usual . . .
Before this Demon cloud called Covid 19 I enjoyed travelling and seeing new places. I saw the places with a special eye for Children’s entertainment places. ( I have a soft spot for children at play!)
I love to review and rate places because I know that afterwards my google app will prompt me to answer questions about them.
Did I like the place? If so why? Does the place have a wheelchair accessible parking?
Is it good for children?
With a smile and a whistling tune, I provide the answers knowing that some one’s life would be made easier. It gives me immense pleasure that those answers would make some one’s decision wiser and hence safer!
I feel like a Guardian Angel, watching and lighting the way towards more informed decisions.
I especially enjoy pointing out and rating places with children’s play places and small hotels.
Besides boosting their business volumes, highlighting places with good children’s play areas gives parents easier time especially if they are travelling or going out with the children.

, moved parents from around that area to get back with questions about how to get to Fun City Gardens, how far it is from a certain place and wot to expect wen they got there.
It is immensely satisying to know that some one, a complete stranger locates a place they need to access more easily because if my activity as a Local Guide.
And that, is why I love being a local guide!
