My name is Ella Penso, born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel ( A place of endless conflict unfortunately) I currently live in beautiful Bet-Yam town, and I was lucky enough to travel to 10 different countries in my life so far. Traveling, as well as Surfing, Photography, Cinema, books and Painting, is what I am passionate about in life. I wish I could just travel all the time.
Everywhere I go, I share my traveling experiences on google maps and it’s wonderful because I get to create my own little memory album, plus providing everybody else a chance to explore the places I’ve visited and see them for themselves.
My favorite places to share are not the obvious Tourist places, but actually the truly Local hidden jams, like the library of ancient books at the Barcelona University, or the Supermarket on a busy street selling items from Asia that I’ve never seen before. Both those places, for example, got tens of thousand of views and I was surprised that they did. But sharing on google maps is just something I do , it’s a part of my interaction with the world.
When I don’t travel, I still like to just post photos of a nice small garden I walk on my way to the office, or whenever I go out to eat I upload at least one photo, to have a memory from that evening .
So sharing on google maps is something I do for me as well as for everyone else, and I think it’s a brilliant platform.
