hi, this is my first post on localguidesconnect.com if there is a writing error or other error that I did not intentionally please understand and forgive :)
in my first post, I will talk about one of the most famous religious tours in the city of Mojokerto.
Mojokerto, especially the Trowulan region is very famous for its nature reserve tourism.
especially the historical heritage of the Majapahit Kingdom, namely the temple. but in this post I will discuss about the sleeping Buddha statue that has been established since 1993 by craftsmen from Trowulan, YM Viryanadi Maha Tera
The location of this sleeping Buddha is located in Bejijong Village, Trowulan District, Mojokerto Regency. The location is in the middle of a village close to the rice fields, making the atmosphere there to be calm and cool typical of the countryside. This place often gets tourist visits, both for worship and non-Buddhist groups, especially school holidays that are visited by many students.
The management of the monastery is quite open to accepting the arrival of groups from anywhere and will provide information about matters related to the existence of this place. To get to the location of the Bejijong village you can use a private vehicle or public vehicle, for example a bus because the location is easily accessible and close to the highway lanes across East Java Province.
Inside the complex there is also a monastery for prayer by Buddhists. On the back wall of the main building there are also large reliefs. These reliefs tell the Buddha Gautama was practicing his teachings. Maha Vihara Majapahit is indeed functioned as a place of worship for Buddhists, but there is no prohibition for other religious visitors to enter this temple provided that it is not noisy. This is because the monks and nuns in Maha Vihara Majapahit really appreciate tranquility.
