Yes I love travelling!! I Travel whenever I get the time to do it. I have no special place but the region I like going to most is the East of Sri Lanka. Not many people go to the East because it takes a long time to get there by road around 7 - 8 hours. However, it is worthwhile because there are plenty of places to see including ancient archaeological sites, and this region is lovely with a lot of big lakes and the Gal Oya forest. The best beaches on the Island are also in the East. Sri Lanka’s famous surfing destination ‘the Arugam bay’ is also in the East. Most tourists (a lot) visiting Arugam bay rarely travel inland.
I have pictures of Arugam bay and will share 1 of those here for you to see This picture was taken towards the end of the Arugam bay season which, is from May to September. This is why no waves. Arugam bay is famous as an ideal surfing area for beginners.
