My first meeting with Google Maps happened few years ago, when for the first time in my life I was travelling with my smartphone in my pocket. I remember how helpful for me were reviews from other people about very different places. How else can you find out good places in the country you have never been before? How can you find any decent place to eat, to go sightseeing, when you have only two-hour change between the trains? How can you find the best spot in the city that is known only by locals? And then I realized, that it will be too ungrateful for me to use other people’s work and give nothing in return. That was the main reason to become a part of the community.
I am trying to write laconic reviews to minimize the time of making decisions about visiting a place. Even when I write reviews about some places at my home city, I make it useful for travelers, because I’m really grateful Google Maps for helping me to create my unforgettable journeys.
